David Essex (mayormente abreviado a D-Essex o D. Essex) fue un alias usado por Maurizio De Jorio. Él comenzó a usarlo cuando se unió a A-Beat-C en 1991, donde hizo un total de 9 canciones hasta 1995; ese año, el alias fue mudado a Delta Music Industry junto con De Jorio y Andrea Leonardi, donde hizo otras 9 canciones entre 1995 y 2005, todas ellas producidas por Leonardi. Debido a esto, todas sus canciones hechas en Delta, ahora le pertenecen a SinclaireStyle desde el 2008.
El historial de canciones de David Essex fue bastante exitoso, muchas de sus canciones se volvieron muy populares, especialmente "Boom Boom Fire", "Burning Love", "Tokyo Tokyo" y "Thank You Arigato". Otras, tales como "Take Me To The Top" y "Max Power", se volvieron famosas por sus apariciones en Initial D.

- El nombre del alias viene por el famoso cantante británico David Essex (David Albert Cook). Sin embargo, este luego tuvo que ser acortado a "D. Essex/D-Essex" debido a que el abogado de David Essex amenazó con demandar a Delta por el uso del nombre que chocaba con su discografía.[1]
