Emanuela Gubinelli es una cantante, compositora y escritora italiana. Ella es conocida como Taleesa fuera del mundo del Eurobeat. Gubinelli ha trabajado para varios sellos, sobretodo para Flea Records, Time Records y Delta.
Además, ella ha trabajado con muchos productores, tales como Laurent Newfield, Sergio Dall'Ora, Giorgio Spagna, y Luca Pernici dentro del mundo del Eurobeat.
Según su biografía como Taleesa, ella viene de una familia italiana con dos hermanos y una hermana, bajo la tutela de unos estrictos padres conservadores, quienes no le permitían mucha libertad. Sin embargo, esto la llevó a estudiar intensamente el piano y la guitarra, y de ahí su amor por la música.
Sin embargo, en Internet se debate si gran parte de la historia es cierta o no, ya que, según The Eurodance Encyclopedia, algunos afirman que la mayor parte de su biografía fue inventada con fines de marketing, incluido el hecho de que se decía que había nacido en Santa Ana, California, EE.UU., y que su novio de Santa Mónica, CA, EE.UU., la ayudaba con las letras en inglés.
