- Not to be confused with Blackout (Nine9Nine Song), Black Out (Aleph Song), or Black Out (Album).
"Black Out" is a song by Simone Valeo under the alias Overload. It was produced and released in 1997, being first released that same year in a vinyl maxi-single by Time Records; followed by making its first album appearance in "Super Eurobeat Vol. 82" on October 22nd. The song was composed and produced by Luca Pernici, written by Lucio Boiardi Serri with Riccardo Romanini; and additionally arranged by Lucio Serri.
For many time, it was being released a 5-Minutes version as the Extended mix, but the real extended mix, which is almost 6 minutes long, was exclusive of the vinyl single until it was released in "Super Eurobeat Vol. 82 - Extended Version - Time Edition" on November 25, 2020.

[Intro]
(Transmit sequence data)
(Manipulate frequency controller, damage alert)
Black Out!
(Malfunction, energy overload, malfunction, energy overload)
(Malfunction, malfunction)
(Warning, warning, warning, warning)
Feel the black out, black out!
(Malfunction, energy overload, data entry complete)
Feel the black out, black out!
(Manipulate frequency controller)
Black Out!
Black Out!
Black Out!
[Verse 1]
Every night I keep on, burning, warning
Turning off the lights, you turn me on
[Pre-Chorus]
You can be what you wanna be
If you follow your heart
You can do what you wanna do
In the dark of the night
[Chorus]
Feel the Black Out! Black Out! (energize)
And you're free to get moving,
Free to get crazy
Black Out! Black Out! (energize)
Know you got to get ready
Move on, baby!
Black Out, Black Out! (energize)
And you're free to get moving,
Free to get crazy
Black Out! Black Out! (energize)
Feel the heat of the night!
Black Out!
Black Out!
[Verse 2]
Let me be your love and hold me, feel me
Let the music be your only guide
[Chorus - Variation]
Feel the Black Out! Black Out!
(Malfunction, energy overload, data entry complete)
Black Out! Black Out!
(Manipulate frequency controller, please backup)
Black Out! Black Out!
(Malfunction, energy overload, data entry complete)
Black Out! Black Out!
(Manipulate frequency controller)
Black Out!
[Outro]
(Energy overload, malfunction, energy overload)
(Malfunction, malfunction)
(Warning, warning, warning, warning)
Feel the Black Out, Black Out!
(Malfunction, energy overload, data entry complete)

Trivia[]
- The song is well-known for its robotic voice effect, with is also found in a number of other Eurobeat songs. The effect might have been derived from the Software Automatic Mouth (SAM) text-to-speech program that was released with certain old Commodore, Atari, and Apple computers.
- There is an very recognizable section with synthesizers in the middle of the song, this section only appeared in the 3-Minute Version released on "Super Eurobeat Vol. 82", and in the extended mix released in the Vinyl single and on "Super Eurobeat Vol. 82 - Extended Version - Time Edition", while the rest of versions removes this part.
- Black Out was featured in Act 25 of Initial D; and in Initial D's TV Special "Excite Battle Special". It was also used in the arcade game Initial D Arcade Stage Ver. 3.
- The JASRAC J-WID listing of the song lists Takehito Koyasu and "Feat. Takahashi Bros.Red Suns" as the performing artists, while Overload was not listed[1].
- The bonus track on the vinyl single is a rock arrangement of the song. It's inferred that Lucio Boidari Serri played the drums for it, as he has an instrumentation credit on the single as well.
