- Not to be confused with Cha Cha Cha (Finzy Kontini Song) or Cha Cha Cha (Valentina Song).
Cha Cha Cha Cha is a song by Mauro Farina, released under the name Mark Farina. It was first featured on the Japanese compilation album That's Eurobeat Vol. 16 (1990) and later included on Farina's debut album Big (1990). The single was initially released in Italy by Asia Records on July 18th, 1989, and in Japan by Alfa International as two separate Mini-CD releases on November 28th, 1989. The single was written by Farina and Giuliano Crivellente, with production credits going to Farina, Crivellente, and Florian Fadinger. Additionally, Laurent G. Newfield mixed and edited the song at Factory Sound Studio. The extended version of the song is called the "Japan Mix".
Farina covered the song again in 2004, this time under the new title "New Cha Cha". This version featured new vocals, new instrumentation, and faster arrangement, but largely retaining the lyrics.
Lyrics[]
[Intro]
No one's gonna stop me
No one's gonna kill me
Baby cha cha cha cha
I'm not your loser
No one take me higher
Only my desire
Baby cha cha cha cha
I'm not your loser
Cha cha cha cha
I'm not your loser
[Verse 1]
I-aye-aye
Just when you told me the true told, baby
Why-aye-aye
I don't know why you could drive me crazy
You wanna shoot me, don't baby, don't do it
How can I get through, shake my dice
Don't look at me, baby, baby, don't do it
I've got to run, got to run
[Chorus]
No one's gonna stop me
No one's gonna kill me
Baby cha cha cha cha
I'm not your loser
No one take me higher
Only my desire
Baby cha cha cha cha
I'm not your loser
Cha cha cha cha
I'm not your loser
[Verse 2]
Why-aye-aye
Why did you follow me all night baby
I-aye-aye
I never said to you to be raid down
You want to shoot me don't baby don't do it
How can I get through, shake my dice
Don't look at me baby, baby, don't do it
I've got to run, got to run
[Bridge]
You want to shoot me don't baby don't do it
How can I get through, shake my dice
Don't look at me baby, baby, don't do it
I've got to run, got to run
