Cindy was an alias used by several female vocalists initially at Asia Records in 1989-1990, later in 1994 it was moved to Hi-NRG Attack. Since then, it became a character played by the model Deborah Bongiovanni. The character of "Cindy" had two sisters, both of whom are fellow artists at Hi-NRG Attack, her twin younger sisters Giorgia (Jee Bee) and Michela (Michelle Rose) (collectively known as Ciao Ciao).
Like the Ciao Ciao group alias, and Chris, she was once part of Asia Records, likely due to Claudio Accatino's work at the label through Live Music before departing from SAIFAM around 1992. She would return to the label twice in 2011 and 2016 with the Eurobeat cover of the Keri Hilson song "Pretty Girl Rock" with Speedmaster and the final song "Fallen Angel" in before she vanished from the Eurobeat scene altogether.
Unfortunately, Deborah Bongiovanni passed away in 2020[1], according to Roberto Festari, her colleague at Hi-NRG Attack who wrote songs for her along with Accatino and Federico Rimonti.
