- Not to be confused with Empress (Alias).
"Empress" is a song by Jessa Stebbins under her alias Odyssey.
Description[]
I've had the concept for this song in my head for a while-- less musically and more lyrically. While people have in good faith called me "The Queen of Eurobeat", it's not a title I can accept while Clara Moroni (Cherry), Domino, Pamsy, Norma Sheffield, or Elena Feretti still walk this earth. On the other hand, I thought an Empress would be pretty fun to be! So I wrote a song about aspiring to be that. ...I only found out later that an Empress ranks above queens. That was not my intention! Σ(っ °Д °;)っ
Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
One to another, call my name
Rising up, a pillar made of fire
Where did the others fall in shame
Take my hand, we'll make a new empire
[Bridge]
Within a minute, you gave in to me
Now we can render a fantasy
Below my hand, Under my command
You ready for more and more Of me tonight, boy
[Chorus]
Call me the Empress and
I'll call you mine
We'll echo out to the future all of the time
Baby tell me you need me and will never go
You never tease me against a fading light
[Verse 2]
Lock into place and step in time
In a universe where I can make you
The elementals, ever mine
No one else but me can ever take you
