Hinoi Team (Hinoi チーム, Hinoi Chīmu) was a J-Pop Idol group led by Asuka Hinoi with supporting members Hikaru Koyama, Keika Matsuoka and Rina Takenaka who worked for Avex Tune, Avex Trax and SONIC GROOVE, and were associated with Rising Productions. Almost of all their songs are Japanese covers of Italian Eurobeat songs, being their covers of "Ike Ike" and "Night Of Fire" the most popular.
Since 2002, Asuka Hinoi and Hikaru Koyama formed and were part of several Idol groups, non of them being successful; until 2004 when Asuka's agency, Vision Factory, formed a "girl's band" around her, Hikaru was selected for being related to Asuka, while Keika Matsuoka and Rina Takenaka were selected after they passed the selection process. On December of 2004, the group was announced with the release date of their debut single, "Ike Ike", on February of 2005. However, due to the lack of preparation of the two junior members, Keika and Rina with just 12 years old in that time, the debut was delayed to May of 2005.
In 2007, the group split up. The first in leaving was Keika Matsuoka on April of that year, she announced in the "Love Berry" magazine her departure from modeling, citing academic reasons for her decision; Asuka Hinoi, on the other hand, left the group to go on with her career as a soloist; Rina Takenaka left in august of that year. However, although Avex never made an official announcement of the group's dissolution, it is already taken for granted.
