'"Hot Fire" is a song by Giancarlo Pasquini, released under the collective alias Rodgers, Contini & Sinclaire.
The song was written by Pasquini, Alberto Contini, and Andrea Leonardi, with production credits going to Pasquini and Leonardi (under their aliases Dave Rodgers and Bratt Sinclaire, respectively) and Contini under the shortened variant of his name "Mr. Contini".
The song was released on a 12" vinyl single in 1992, by Double Rec. (Contini E.M. & R.) in Italy, and rerelased as a digitized vinyl rip on October 8, 2021. It contains two versions of the song, the Friday Night and the Saturday Night mixes. "Hot Fire" made its first album appearance on Maharaja Night DJ Selection Vol. 1 on March 21, 1992.
The front cover artwork, photographed by P. Carlini, features Pasquini showing off his bare chest with the title "Hot Fire" above it while Contini and Leonardi huddle close to him side by side. The 2021 digital single shows the same cover, but his nipples are censored with small stars.
Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
Ready to play, it's time to wake up and run now
Show you the way, don't worry we're gonna tell (you) how
Hey my baby, don't you want it loud
We're gonna play "Hot fire" tonight
[Verse 2]
Here we come back, and we can look at the wild crowd
Ready to dance, we started, let there be sound, loud
Here my baby, don't you feel it now
The rhythm fills your club tonight
[Pre-Chorus]
We can tell you baby
Night is over
But "hot fire" remains in your heart
Time will give you honey
Wild emotions
For the rest of your life, all right
[Chorus]
Hot fire get up desire
Take us to the river
Of wise imaginations
Hot fire get up desire
Welcome to the kingdom
Of dance we'll never be alone
[Verse 3]
Singing the song, we are never watching you going down
Really don't care, if we don't win out the dance crown
Trust me baby, then you won't be lone
We're gonna welcome you tonight
[Verse 4]
After the show, we're gonna give you some good time
Don't be afraid, just let me write down the last rhythm
Take us baby, and you won't be low
The music fills your soul tonight
