Not to be confused with HOT LIMIT (Slothington Song).
"Hot Limit" is a 1998 song originally perfromed by Takanori Nishikawa under the alias of T.M.Revolution. In 2000, Davide Di Marcantonio covered the song in English under the alias John Desire. It was produced by him with John Fireball and released in the album "Dancemania Presents J★Paradise" on February 16, 2001 and in a promotional vinyl maxi-single of the same album released that year.
Later it was released in two digital singles released by Eurobeat Masters, one on May 17, 2008; and the other on March 27, 2021.
Yo say! Summer love!
Wishing revealing
Precious love is always eating up my heart
[Verse 1]
Uncheatable her shapely line
A convict of her lithe crime
Save me and wrap around one more time
[Verse 2]
Make a change and turn around
Under a wave
Back on ground holding scolding
The darker side
[Pre-Chorus 1]
Summer is burning, a hole in my heart
Stripping me down to hot temptation
It's O.K. to give in be beaten by lust
Summer wind,
Burning air
A scandal affair
[Chorus]
Yo say! Summer love!
Will stimulate my heart tonight
Mysterious mermaid barefoot all alone
Wishing revealing!
It's the fruit I want to eat
Precious love is always eating up my heart
Fairies, summer folk!
Will stimulate my fantasies
Mysterious mermaid barefoot all alone
Wishing revealing!
It's the fruit I want to eat
Precious love is always eating up my heart
[Verse 3]
Fagged out that's you and me,
Gave ya the better side of me
This town is gloomy nothing to be found
[Verse 4]
Don't wanna stop or cool down,
Go forever not hang around
(Don't) wanna hear a boring joke in my open mind
[Pre-Chorus 2]
The sky is burning, a firework delight
Painting colour through the night
Holding me tightly, I grab the light,
Summer wind,
Burning fire,
Getting me high
The song became infamous due to the way Davide Di Marcantonio sings the lyrics, becoming unintelligible in several parts when it is compared to the official lyrics. Something that, curiously, does not happen in the acapella version of it.
Hot Limit was used as background music for the animutation video "We Drink Ritalin" by Robinson Wilburn, credited under the alias "Alex Chiu and Friends".
The title is derived from the misinterpretation (known in Japan as "soramimi") of the phrase "wishing revealing".
