"Into The Night (Slip And Slide)" (also known as just "Into The Night") is a song released by Pierre Michel Nigro under his alias Michael Fortunati, from his debut studio album, Give Me Up ~Fortunati's 1st~ (1987). The song was written by Pierre Michel Nigro, Mario Nigro, and M. De San Antonio, and produced by the latter. Additionally, M. De San Antonio mixed the song at Rimini Studio in Italy. The test pressing for the vinyl single was released on October 16, 1986 in France, and the song was subsequently fully released on 7" and 12" vinyl formats throughout Europe in 1987. The release was under the label Flarenasch, while in Spain, it was released by Max Music. On March 25, 1987 the song was released as a single in Japan by Alfa International in a 7" and 12" formats. The 12" vinyls included a remix of Fortunati's first single, "Give Me Up", done by JG's as the B-Side. In the following year, on May 10, 1988, the song was included as the coupling track on the Mini-CD release of Fortunati's 1988 single, "Alleluia".

On April 27, 1987, Masaru Narita, the president of N Enterprise Co., Ltd., and President of the Maharaja Disco of the Tokyo Area, covered the song and released it as a single through RCA Records. Furthermore, in 2000, Fortunati would self-cover the song for his Cover-Remix album Best Of 2000, under the new title "Into The Night 2000".
