"King And Queen" is a song by Elena Ferretti under the alias King & Queen. Produced in 1991, the song was released that same year in the mixed compilation album "Maharaja Night Vol. 2 - Special Non-Stop Disco Mix" on December 16th; then it was first released on vinyl maxi-single by Double Rec. (Contini E.M. & R.) on March 11, 1992.
Two versions of the synthesizer riff exist. One version, the Saturday Night version, is found on Super Eurobeat Vol. 18; while the other one, the Friday Night version, is found on Maharaja Night - Hi-NRG Revolution Vol. 1. Of these versions, the Saturday Night version is more commonly featured on the subsequent compilations. It was so popular it became the staple of the Super Eurobeat anniversary megamixes.
The song was covered two times: The J-Pop group Dream covered the song in Japanese in 2003, and Roberta Granà also covered it as Tora in 2009.
