Marco Rancati is an Italian singer and songwriter from Piacenza, Italy. He is more known for his stage name "Daniel Daniel".
Biography[]
He began his career as a singer of the Eva 2000 band , with whom he also recorded an album and with whom he participated in the 1975 Sanremo Festival . Later as a soloist he used the pseudonym of Daniel Danieli , and in 1979 he won the Castrocaro Festival .
In 1980 he published his first single Freddo diamante and Tu Violence. The song was then sent by Danieli's record company, Sandro Coppola, of Delta and Atlas Record, to the author Domenico Politanò, known as "Mimmo", with the specific request to write a text for the Spanish market which did not take into account the original, too busy one by Gianni Greco. Politanò changed it, titling it more ordinarily "Sin Ti, Vivir No Sé" in 1981, which was chosen as the main theme for the Argentinean soap opera "Tengo calle".
In 1992 he co-founded the group Animali Rari , which released its eponymous debut album in the same year, followed in 2006 by Stagioni and in 2009 by "Sottosopra".
Since January 2009 he has been deputy director of the national gospel choir "Nicolini Gospel Choribus".
The song "I motivi della Terra" is the theme song of the 1st "Un Bosco per Kyoto" Festival. In December 2010 it was released in a digital version in Italian, English and Spanish.
In 2007, he started in the Eurobeat world under the alias "Daniel" at Delta Music Industry with the song "One More Try".
In 2017 he participated in the Canale 5 talent show "The Winner Is" and in 2023 he participated in the third edition of The Voice Senior in Gigi D'Alessio's team.
