Mortimer is an alias used by Jessa Stebbins. According to Stebbins, this alias is used mostly for songs with dark, spooky, or sentimental themes. The alias originated from Stebbins' response to spam callers, informing them that they were calling "Moritmer's Mortuary". Stebbins also says that Mortimer would look somewhere between Count Chocula and a cheap Halloween vampire costume.
