Eurobeat Wiki

My Turn is a song by Natascha Salaets, released under the alias Tasha. Initially, it was released on the Japanese compilation album That's Eurobeat Vol. 12 (1989) and later appeared on Tasha's first and only album You Only You (1992). The song was initially released on 7-inch and 12-inch singles in Belgium by ARS Records, and it was also released on a Mini-CD in Japan on June 25, 1989. "My Turn" was written by Jan Leyers, and Werner Pensaert, and it was produced by the latter. Post-production and mixing were done by Mauro Farina and Giuliano Crivellente.

In 1995, the Japanese idol duo Wink covered the song under the new title "悲しみよりもしたたかに 〜MY TURN〜" ("More Than Sadness ~My Turn~").

Lyrics[]

[Verse 1]
I wake up gaze into an empty place
No one's lying there beside me
I make up looking at a lonely face
Oh, but I'd rather try to hide it
Day's dark, black as a night
I've got no one to make me feel all right

[Verse 2]
I go to work taking orders all day long
I would rather do without it
Some kind of jerk telling me to hurry on
Oh, what can you do about it?
Anyone with eyes can see
I need somebody to set me free

[Chorus]
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
The sun is gonna shine on me
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
Help me find the key

[Verse 3]
I wake up gaze into an empty place
No one's lying there beside me
I make up looking at a lonely face
I would rather try to hide it
Day's dark, black as a night
I've got no one to make me feel all right

[Chorus]
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
The sun is gonna shine on me
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
Help me find the key
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
The sun is gonna shine on me
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
Help me find the key

[Bridge]
Everyone seems to believe I'm very strong
Oh, but they don't know
It hurts, though it doesn't show

[Chorus]
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
The sun is gonna shine on me
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
Help me find the key
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
The sun is gonna shine on me
I know, I know, it's gonna be my turn
Help me find the key
