Produced in 1996, the song was first released in "Super Eurobeat Vol. 77" on April 23, 1997 aside with in a vinyl maxi-single released by Delta on the same year; which later had to be re-released. Later it was released in a digital single as part of Eurobeat Masters Singles on September 2, 2022. The song was produced by Laurent Newfield with Clara Moroni, composed by Giordano Foglia and written by Moroni.

Save Me had a vinyl release in 1997, although the original run of this single was riddled with audio glitches, particularly in the intro and main sabi. On November 6th, 1997, a new version under the catalogue number DELTA 1035 BIS released with these glitches removed. The original run had an extremely low print count compared to the re-released version.
