Sergio Dall'Ora is an Italian musician, songwriter, composer, singer, and producer. In particular, he produced hundreds of tracks at Time Records. After this, he founded the short-lived Eurobeat label Eurogrooves before leaving the scene in 2011 (the last original songs were from 2009). During much of his career in Eurobeat, he worked very closely with Luca Degani on writing and production.
His production style went through four abrupt changes, creating five distinct phases. Changes range from minor to causing the style to become nearly unrecognizable from before.
- Phase 1: Ken Hunter - Ready For Love (TRD 1385) to Marc B. - Make It Fun-Ction (TRD 1511); 1994-1995.
- Phase 2: Helena - Lonely Night (TRD 1512) to E.C. James - Ready For You (TRD 1588); 1995-1996.
- Phase 3: Sophie - White Christmas (TRD 1589) to Sophie - Don't You (Forget About My Love) (TRD 1774); 1996-1998. Luca Degani helped him with most songs starting at this point, though he also worked on a couple songs in Phase 2.
- Phase 4: Robert Patton - Love In Paradise (TRD 1776) to Time Force - Moving In Tokyo (TRD 1867); 1998-2000.
- Phase 5: Toby Ash - Feeling Of The Night (TRD 1868) to Mr. M - Be The One (TRHV 0088); 2001-2005. Mostly minor changes in the arrangement and a very modest number of tracks with a powerful sound. In early 2005, tracks are added with new sound effects.
- Phase 6: 2005-2009. The appearance of Dave - Pride and Annie - Powernight defined a new production style. By the early of 2006, the old style appeared less and less frequently, and already in the middle of the same year most of songs had a powerful and loud sound, which remained so until the end of Eurogrooves.
Avex Trax was likely the cause for most or all of these abrupt shifts in production, while Sergio Dall'Ora was responsible for any gradual evolution his style underwent.
He has a daughter, Andrea Dall'Ora, who has been a Eurobeat vocalist specializing in covers of non-Eurobeat songs.
