Trivia[]

  • The song is based on soccer, especially the Japanese national football team. The players mentioned throughout the song are;
    • Hidetoshi Nakata - Midfielder for Bellmare Hiratsuka and the Japanese national football team and considered one of the greatest Japanese players of all time.
    • Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi - Goalkeeper and captain for the Japanese national football team.
    • Kazuyoshi Miura - Forward
    • Hiroshi Nanami - Midfielder
  • The song also mentions the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. Since that song was released in 1998, the Japanese football team were part of Group H for the tournament. However, they weren't able to make it to the final rounds, losing to opponents Argentina and Croatia 0-1, and Jamaica 1-2.
  • The AV02/98 vinyl single is the first to use the fifth and final label design for Time Records vinyls: a simple plain white label with black text. It would continue to be used until the release of Time Records' final vinyl single AV43/2003.
