"The Race Is Over" is a song by Giancarlo Pasquini under his alias Dave Rodgers. It was produced in the 2000 and made its first appearance as the ending theme song in the 2001 animated film, Initial D Third Stage; before making its first album appearance on "Initial D The Movie Of Super Eurobeat" on January 17th of that year. It was later included on a 12-inch maxi-single by Avex Trax in Japan, on October 29, 2003; as the first A-side, along with three other songs by Rodgers: "Dancing In The Starlight", "Shake" and "I Want To Feel". The song was written by Giancarlo Pasquini with Fabrizio Rizzolo, composed by Pasquini and produced by him as Dave Rodgers.
In 2020, Pasquini covered the song under the same alias and released it as a single and on Rodgers' seventh studio album, "Take Me Higher" (2020), under his label Dave Rodgers Music.
