The song was written by Luigi Raimondi, with production credits going to Giancarlo Pasquini under his alias Dave Rodgers. Additionally, Rodgers recorded and mixed the song at Sound & Vision Studio.
The song was released on a 12" vinyl single on February 23rd 1994, by A-Beat-C in Italy, as the B-Side to the other Valentina song "Harmony". "Tonite" made its first album appearance on Maharaja Night - Hi-NRG Revolution Vol. 10 on June 22nd, 1994.
