Eurobeat Wiki

"Tsunami Comes" (also spelled as "Tsunami Comes!") is a song by Claudio Magnani under the alias Mad Max. Produced in 2002, the song was first released in the album "Super Eurobeat Vol. 148" on May 19, 2004, then it was released together with "Superbad" and "Night Of Fire 2004" by Niko, and "Fool For Your Loving" by Jean Love in a vinyl maxi-single published by Avex Trax on September 8, 2004. Later it was released in a digital single released by Delta on January 29, 2019; and again, as part of Eurobeat Masters Singles on December 16, 2024.

A remix made by Y&Co. was released together with "Boom Boom Fire (Old Generation Mix)" D. Essex and "Shadows In The Night" by Princess F. as part of the vinyl album "Super Eurobeat Presents 12" Collection Vol. 1" on November 2005.

Following the 2011 Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan, Avex banned the song from appearing on any further Super Eurobeat releases, and continues to be the only song banned from future SEB releases.

Lyrics[]

[Intro]
(Time is over)
(Tsunami, tsunami, tsunami)
(Tsunami Comes)
Tsunami Comes!

[Verse 1]
Tokyo nights
Sake and lies, running in the fire
Girls in the clubs
Having a price, selling paradise

[Pre-Chorus]
Dream and love then
Fight and die for power trip, time is over
Crime and law then
Right or wrong you'll feel the wave
Hitting the night

[Chorus]
When the Tsunami Comes
Feel a crack in the house
Killing one, two baby
You won't believe

When the Tsunami Comes
You got nothing to loose
Screaming one, two maybe
You better don't stop
Tsunami Comes!

[Verse 2]
Tokyo nights
I realize, put my life on fire
Boys in the hood
Having a mood, ready for the fight

Trivia[]

  • The song is not only based on the earthquakes and tsunamis that plagued Japan, but also in that those are Gabrielli's greatest fear.[1]
  • For some reason, Youtube's content ID miscredits this song to the album "Super Eurobeat Vol. 84", which is impossible since that album was released in 1998.
