"Upside Down" is a song by Mauro Farina under the alias Coo Coo, and is the first song released under the alias. It was first released on December 30, 1987, as a 12-inch maxi-single by Flea Records in Italy and later included on Coo Coo's debut studio album, Fun Bun (1990). The song had saw six additional single releases and two re-releases across various countries, notably including a maxi-single release by ZYX Records in Germany, Alfa International in Japan, a Mini-CD release in Japan, and a 12-inch maxi release by DAEEUM in South Korea, which included another Coo Coo song, "You Can Set Me Free". The song made its first album appearance on That's Eurobeat For D.J.'s on July 25, 1988, and later appeared on the mainline series That's Eurobeat Vol. 7 on August 25, 1988.
The song was written by Giuliano Crivellente and Farina, with production by Flea. A remix of the song by Y&Co., titled "(Hyper Euro Mix)," was released on Dancemania Euro★Mix Happy Paradise (2000). The song has been featured in the music video game series Dance Dance Revolution by Konami in numerous titles.
