Trivia[]
- This is one of the few media in the Wangan Midnight franchise to feature some Eurobeat songs, as they are more well-known in Initial D since they are both street racing manga and anime franchises. However, the Eurobeat in the film is only played in a few scenes, as it features an original score that plays during race and action scenes. The Wangan Midnight anime never even had Eurobeat and just had original background music play during races scenes, whereas the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune arcade games by Namco featured a trance soundtrack composed by Yuzo Koshiro in a similar way to how Initial D has Eurobeat.
- Out of all the Eurobeat songs that played in the film, "Heartbreaker" was the only song that played during a race sequence, which was the first race between the Devil Z and Blackbird. "Come Back" was heard briefly at a car meet that Akio Asakura goes to after restoring the Devil Z. "Transmission" was heard during the scene where Reina Akikawa gets her pictures taken by Yoshiaki Ishida, interpolating with scenes of his yellow Ferrari F355. "Wheels Of Fire" and "What Is Real" are heard in two scenes at a nightclub that Akio Asakura temporarily works at.
