"When The Sun Goes Down" is a song by Jessa Stebbins under her alias Ken Blast. It was produced in 2009; making its first album appearance on "Super Eurobeat Vol. 201 - Extended Version" on March 3, 2010. Later it was released as a digital single two time: One as part of Eurobeat Masters Singles on August 25, 2022; and other for streaming platforms on September 25th of the same year. The song was written and composed by Jessa Stebbins with Vicent DeGiorgio and produced by Laurent Newfield, Odyssey and Clara Moroni.
In 2009, at the age of 20, Stebbins worked for a short time for Delta Music Industry, where she made her first steps in the professional field. Making "When The Sun Goes Down" the first song thay she ever wrote and sung professionally.
However, originally the song was just written by her and was about to be called "When The Wolves Sing". This original version had different lyrics and a different intro. This version was about to be accepted, but it was rewritten by the Canadian musician Vincent DeGiorgio, renamed to "When The Sun Goes Down". After that, it was sent to be produced by Laurent Newfield, who made some changes to the final version. This one, curiously, recycles one of Newfield's old productions from Delta, "If You Stay With Me" by Sara, reusing part of the intro for the pre-riff of "When The Sun Goes Down"[1].
According to Stebbins, the final lyrics seem to be evocative of either coping with or escaping a nondescript nightmare scenario with several malicious creatures[2].

When The Sun Goes Down
Tell me, will we live to tell
The mystery of midnight and it's spell
When The Sun Goes Down
[Verse 1]
The darkness falls
There's no one in sight
From my window
These city streets
Are hiding from light
There's nowhere to go
[Pre-Chorus]
We're on the edge of feeling the despair
I hear a voice from beyond the atmosphere
Will the true unknown leave us so alone?
[Chorus]
When The Sun Goes Down
Will you hear the cry
Or just walk on by
And leave without a sound
When The Sun Goes Down
Tell me, will we live to tell
The mystery of midnight and it's spell
When The Sun Goes Down
[Verse 2]
Those unafraid
Will make the escape
To safer places
But where it's cold
They freeze and they wait
For you to save them
[Verse 3]
I wanna burn
Burn a candle you can see
The kinda flame
I need you to believe
That the creatures of
The night will never leave
