"Your Body Lies" is the debut song by Chiara De Pieri under the alias Norma Sheffield. It is the first song released under the Norma Sheffield alias and the first song produced and released by A-Beat-C. Additionally, it is one of the earliest singles to be released by the Japanese record label Avex Trax in Japan. Originally released on a 12-inch single in Italy on September 10, 1990, by A-Beat-C, the track made its album debut on the inaugural Super Eurobeat album from Avex Trax, Super Eurobeat Vol. 9 - Extended Version on November 25, 1990. "Your Body Lies" was later included on Norma Sheffield's debut album, Sweet Heaven (1994). The song was written by Giancarlo Pasquini and has production by Dave Rodgers.
On November 25, 1990, the song was released as a single in Japan on a Mini-CD format, and a remix of the song was also released on a 12-inch vinyl, all of which were released by Avex Trax in Japan. Given that this song is one of the first Eurobeat tracks created during the Avex Trax era of Super Eurobeat, some consider it as the first Eurobeat song.
In 2021, Chiara De Pieri covered the song again for Norma Sheffield's latest album, I Need Your Love.
